ELDER

CONVENT – Sam “Bozo” Elder Jr., 61, a native and resident of Convent, died Feb. 10. He was the husband of Albertine Scott Elder, father of Cathy, Sam III, Kurt and Kevin Elder, Chanel, Brent and Bryan Smith and the late Kenneth Elder and stepfather of Kimberly Smith, Roderick Bourgeois and Roger Scott.He was also the son of Orelia Johnson Elder and the late Sam Elder Sr. and brother of Lille Bolding and Eva Mae, Bud, Son, Lionel and Ronnie Elder.He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Convent, with interment at St. James Methodist Cemetery, Convent. NORCO – William Hayes Jr., 66, a native of Norco and resident of Milwaukee, died Feb. 10. He was the father of Rhonda Woods, David Hayes and William Jenkins.He was also the son of Edwina Hall Moore and the late William Hayes, brother of Karen Harris, Maryetta McCurry, Elouise Labostrie, Clarence, Michael, Aaron and Donna Moore and stepbrother of Marion London.He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.Services were private.HICKMAN
LUTCHER – Sadie Holland Hickman, 73, a native of Plaquemine and resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 8. She was the wife of the late Rev. Cleo Hickman, and mother of Thomas Holland.She was also the daughter of the late Joseph Sr. and Mary Braxton Holland, and sister of Lillie Mae Cain, and the late Lottie Gaines, Mary Taylor, Joseph Jr., Ross and James Holland.She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.Services were Feb. 15 at King Triumph Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Home State Cemetery, Plaquemine.McNALLY
METAIRIE – Raymond J. McNally Sr., a native of Leominater, Mass., and resident of Kenner, died Feb. 11. He was the husband of Dorothy McNally and father of Marilyn Marsh of Destrehan, Carol LaComb of LaPlace, Brenda Olsen of Corpus Christi, Texas, Doris Blottenberger of Gretna, Dorothy Sisco of LaPlace, Marilyn Dupre of LaPlace, James McNally of LaPlace and Raymond McNally Jr. of Kenner.He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.Services were Feb. 16 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Restlawn Park.MARSHALL
HAHNVILLE – Isaac “Ike” Marshall, 57, a native and resident of Hahnville, died Feb. 9. He was the husband of Marguerite Darensbourg Marshall and stepfather of La Sandra Darensbourg.He was also the son of the late Elijah and Rosa Pierre Marshall and brother of Gertis Williams, Sarah Boyle, Ferdis Pierre, Iola Marshall and the late George Sr., Alvin and Joseph Marshall.He is also survived by one step-grandchild.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Philadelphia Baptist Church, Hahnville, with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hahnville. VACHERIE – Patsy Mae Paul, 78, a native of St. James and resident of Vacherie, died Feb. 9. She was the wife of Raymond Paul and mother of Vera Landreaux, Olivia Clark, Wonderloyn Travis, Hermanese Carter, Wanda Simms, Angela and Pineal Paul and the late Linda, Joseph and Jernard Paul.She was also the daughter of the late James and Viola Pierre and sister of Ceola Johnson, Esmond Sheppard and the late Ollie King.She is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery. HARVEY – Pearl Duet Prokasy, 81, a native of Schriever and resident of Des Allemands, died Feb. 12. She was the wife of Clarence Prokasy and mother of Marleen and Frederick John.She was also the daughter of the late Raqul and Cecile Duet and sister of Irene Hodge and the late Lucy Hughes.She is also survived by one grandchild.She was a retired technician at Charity Hospital, New Orleans.Services were Feb. 14 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, with interment at St. Gertrude Mausoleu, Des Allemands.WAGNER
KENNER – Wolfgang Michael Gustav Wagner, 15, a native of Raceland and resident of St. Charles Parish for 13 years, died Feb. 13 of natural causes. He was the son of Peter and Gayle A. Wagner and brother of Stephanie Bourgeois and Kristin, Brigette, Erika, Franz, Franziska, Erik and Dakota Wagner.He was also the grandson of the late Gustav and Mega Wagner, Mildred Gideons and the late Michael J. Artall. He was also the step-grandson of Harry J. Champagne Sr.He was a sophomore at Hahnville High School and member of the HHS Band.Services were Feb. 16 in the chapel of L.A. Muhleisen Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment at Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery.YOUNG
ST. JAMES – Denell Young, 27, a native and resident of St. James, died Feb. 12. She was the mother of Brian Young.She is also survived by eight sisters and two brothers. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.Services are today at 2 p.m. at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, St. James, with interment at St. Luke Cemetery. Visitation starts at 1 p.m.
