Marie Dreher Hauser and Darrell Hauser of LaPlace announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Melissa Bryn Hauser, of LaPlace to Rusty John Jacob of Reserve, son of Marlyn St. Pierre Jacob and Ricky Jacob of Reserve. The couple will wed Feb. 9 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve, with the Rev. Pat Sanders officiating. A reception will follow at the Jefferson Orleans South in Metairie. The bride-elect is a graduate of Riverside Academy in Reserve and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, with a degree in marketing. She is presently employed by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter of Baton Rouge. The prospective groom is a graduate of East St. John High School of Reserve and Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, with a degree in industrial technology. He is presently employed by Exxon Mobil in Baton Rouge.
