Savoie, Callais, Rich named to board
LAPLACE – Community Bank has announced three appointments to its board of directors. Clarence “Chuck” Savoie II has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors. Savoie is president and CEO of C.J. Savoie Consulting Engineers Inc. Savoie is the consulting parish engineer for the St. John the Baptist Parish government and is also on the board of directors of Savoie Industries Inc. and Lula-Westfield L.L.C. Savoie is married to Penny Francis Savoie and lives in Paincourtville. Gloria Bienvenu Callais, wife of the late Harold Callais was named vice-chairman of the board of directors of Community Bancopr of Louisiana and Community Bank. Callais currently serves on the boards of Callais Cablevision, Abdon Callais Offshore and SWDI. She is a member of the Golden Meadow Women’s Club, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, and a former member of the Louisiana Arts Council. A native of St. Martinville, Callais lives in Golden Meadow. Michael B. Rich has been named chairman of the board of directors of Community Bancorp of Louisiana. Rich, president and CEO of Community Bank, succeeds Harold Callais, who died Sept. 15. Rich also serves on the board of directors of United Community Bank in Gonzales and Citizens Progressive Bank in Columbia. Riche is married to Charlotte Kramer Rich and resides in Raceland.
