DESTREHAN – Jessica Ladreyt scored four goals and Emily Nassar and Pelyr Ordoyne three apiece as Destrehan rolled to a 16-0 victory over South Lafourche in District 10-I action Tuesday afternoon.
Natalie Robert and Esther Garatie also had multiple goals for the Lady Cats. Destrehan improved to 3-0 in district play with the win. South Lafourche, in its first year, fell to 0-6 overall.
It didnt take long for the Lady Cats to crack onto the scoreboard. Three minutes into the game, Ordoyne passed to Brittany McClung whose shot was deflected away. Nassar tapped in the rebound, giving the Lady Cats a 1-0 lead.
Four minutes later, Destrehan made it 2-0 as Ordoyne sent a pass ahead to Garatie who moved into the right side of the box and knocked a shot in. The defenses then took over as South Lafourche goal keeper grabbed shots by Ladreyt, McClung, Nassar, Cynthia Rodriguez and Garatie.
Destrehan got back on the board at the 24-minute mark as McClung took a shot from the right side. leapt to get a hand on it but Ordoyne was there to knock in the rebound for a 3-0 lead.
A minute later, Ordoyne found Robert who sent a shot through the crease. Ladreyt took the ball on the left side of the net and knocked it home, making it a 4-0 game.
Ordoyne got her second goal of the game at the 28-minute mark, taking a pass in the box and angling a shot into the left side of the net for a 5-0 lead. Nassar got her second goal with a shot from the left corner at the 35- minute mark, making it 6-0 at halftime.
Robert took a penalty kick seven minutes into the second half, angling a shot from the right side into the left side of the goal for a 7-0 lead.
Three minutes later, it was Rodriguez taking a side kick from the right side and knocking it home for an 8-0 lead. Ladreyt followed with her second goal two minutes later with a shot into the top of the net from the left side.
Ladreyt assisted on the next goal as McClung took her pass ahead of the pack, moved into and angled a shot into the right side of the net at the 29- minute mark.
Garatie scored for the second time at the 30-minute mark on a shot from the right side. Robert followed with a charge up the middle, knocking it through 35 minutes into the half.
Ordoyne got her hat trick a minute later, knocking in a rebound in front.
Ladreyt then took a deflection off a shot by Ordoyne and knocked it home for her fourth goal and a 15-0 lead. A shot by McClung off a pass from Ordoyne closed out the scoring.
In addition to her two goals, Robert was selected as the top defender for the Lady Cats who did not allow South Lafourche a shot on goal in the game.
Destrehan, which traveled to South Terrebonne last night, returns home to play H.L. Bourgeois Tuesday at 4 p.m.
