EDWARDS

MONTZ – Patricia Faunce Edwards, 57, a resident of Montz, died Dec. 22.She was the wife of Stephen Edwards and mother of Donna Cantrelle Gilbert and Donnell Cantrell Robertson. She was stepmother of Stormy Edwards Decker and Brigette and Buddy Edwards and the daughter of the late John and Doris Ducote Sr. She was the sister of Pamela Ledet Bowler and John Ducote Jr. She was also survived by seven grandchildren.Services were held Dec. 23 at Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey.

GUERET

RESERVE – Aline Duhe Gueret, 77, a native of Reserve, died Dec. 20.She was the wife of the late Antoine Gueret. She was the stepmother of George and Kathy Tassin and daughter of the late Ambrose and Bernadette Duhe. She was also the sister of Claire Michel Lawrence and Antoine and James Duhe, all of Reserve, Errol Duhe of Chackbay and the late Jules, Jean and Albert Duhe, Bernadette Oubre and Ann Torres.

Visitation was held Dec. 23 at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, followed by religious services at St. Peter Catholic Church in Reserve.

WATKINS

LAPLACE – Lorenza Watkins, 94, died Dec. 21.She was the wife of the late James Watkins, mother of Hilda Batiste, Clarence and Harold Watkins, Marion Ward and Barbara Julien of LaPlace, Audrey King of Violet, Betty Sonny of Baytown, Texas, Joyce Taylor of Poinciana, Fla., Cornealius Watkins of HarveServices were held Dec. 26 at Providence Baptist Church No. 1 of LaPlace, with interment in the church cemetery.

JASMIN

VACHERIE – Willie Jasmin of Vacherie died Dec. 23.He was the husband of Doretha Adams Jasmin and father of Carrie Lee Borne, Brenda Dumas and Cheryl Williams, Jerome Norwood Adams and the late Willis, Marvin and Johnny Jasmin.

He was the brother of August Jasmin, Almeria Heard and Geraldine White. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clothilde and August Jasmin, four sisters and four brothers.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Vacherie. Interment will be at the St. Phillip Catholic Church Mausoleum, Vacherie. Visitation at the church begins after 8:30 a.m.
