Burch elected to LNHA board

Louisiana Nursing Home Association (LNHA) recently announced the election of its 2001 board of directors. These men and women are responsible for completing LNHA’s mission to maintain high standards of professional care, operation and administration of lAmong the newly elected board of directors is Henry Burch of Burch & Associates New Orleans, owner of Greenbriar Nursing Home and Guest House in Slidell, Riverlands Health Care in Lutcher and Twin Oaks Nursing Home in LaPlace. Burch was elected to serve aBurch has been in the nursing facility business since 1968, has served on LNHA’s board of directors since 1970 and was president of the association in 1972 and 1973. Burch has also served in various capacities with American Health Care Association (AHCA)The New Orleans native believes he has a responsibility to the elderly in the state. In an era where “deficit, shortfall and crisis” seems to be synonymous with Medicare and Medicaid, researching more feasible methods for consumers to finance long term ca”I enjoy people, and the elderly in particular,” said Burch. “They appreciate friendship a little more than young people and are very gratifying to work with.” Burch has also served as board member of Greenbriar Hospital advisory board, The Chamber of Commerce for Metropolitan New Orleans, the Louisiana State Board of Examiners for Nursing Facility Administrators and the Jefferson Board of Realtors.
