Recently, I went on a vacation to Disney World with my boyfriend and his family. Westayed for about eight days, and we had a great time. One thing that really stoodout to us was how organized everything was. There were so many people at thesetheme parks, yet everywhere we went things ran smoothly. Everything necessaryto accommodate such large masses of people had been thought of and perfected.

The parks were so clean and the workers were so friendly. There was definitely aspirit of excellence in everything done there.

I believe this spirit of excellence is a good example to follow. In fact, the Bibleshows us that God desires us to strive for excellence in everything we do. In theBible, when it teaches us to love God, we are taught to do it excellently. Matthew22:37 says to love Him with all our heart, all our soul and all our mind.

God does not desire half-hearted efforts from us. Countless times in Scripture weare reminded to work hard and not be lazy.

But not only does God desire a spirit of excellence, but a spirit of excellence unto Him. I Corinthians 10:13 says that in everything we do, we should do it all for theGlory of God.

So, as the new school year approaches, whether you are going to high school or college or just going back to work, remember to commit everything you do to honoring the Lord. He is pleased when we live our lives in a spirit of excellence untoHim.
