AUTIN DES ALLEMANDS – Martha Miller Autin, 86, a native of Belle River and resident of Des Allemands, died June 30. She was the wife of the late Claude AutinSr., and mother of Yvonne Dufrene and Audrey Autin.She was also the daughter of the late Daniel and Marceline Richard Miller and sister of the late Pearl Viing and Elijah Miller.

Services were held July 3 at First Assembly of God Church, Des Allemands, with interment at the Mennonite Cemetery, Des Allemands.

AYME DESTREHAN – Thomas L. “Tate” Ayme, 70, a natie of Sellers and resident ofDestrehan, died June 29. He was the husband of Rowena Madere Ayme andfather of Kim Bordelon, Keah Kelly and Kasha Cannon.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held July 3 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.

BOURGEOIS LAPLACE – Doris Bourgeois, 68, a native of Vacherie and resident of LaPlace for 26 years, died July 2. She was the wife of Herbert Bourgeois and motherof Mary Cortez, Clarence Eliser, Ann Vicknair, Doris LeBlanc, Daniel Cicet and the late Donald Eliser and step-mother of Joseph Cicet and the late Charles Cicet.

She was also the daughter of the late Roger and Evelyn Cortez Bossier.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitationstarts at 9 a.m.

BROUWER LAPLACE – Ina Marie Banet Brouwer, 57, a native of Fort Wayne, Ind., andresident of LaPlace for 23 years, died July 1. She was the wife of MichaelBrouwer and mother of Becky Carlo, Cindy Terrio, Teresa Breaud, Michelle Williams, Jim and David Brouwer.

She was also the daughter of Rose Kintz Banet and the late J. Richard Banetand sister of Carole Ocken, Connie Miller, Pamela Bak, Deborah Fosnaugh and John Banet.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 8a.m.

MATHERNE KENNER – Leon J. “Tabal” Matherne Jr., 85, a native of Lutcher and residentof Kenner for 56 years, died June 30. He was the husband of Delta AllemanMatherne and father of Dolores Morales, Dianne Buisson, Delery “Buddy” and Daryl Matherne.

He was also the son of the late Leon and Eva Arceneaux Matherne and brother of Hazel and the late Adam “Nook” Matherne.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held July 3 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Kenner, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.

ROME DESTREHAN – Ethel Marie Rome, 84, a native of Lutcher and resident of Destrehan for 80 years, died July 2. She was the daughter of the late Edwinand Elia St. Cyr Rome and sister of Ruth Blum, Murlyn and Irvin Rome and thelate Gertrude Erdelyi and Kearney Rome.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 9a.m.

TRICHE HAHNVILLE – Leona Becnel Triche, a native and resident of Taft, died July 1.

She was the wife of the late Lucien Triche Sr. and mother of George, Hermanand L. Taft Triche Jr.She was also the daughter of the late Maurice and Elenore Troxler Becnel and sister of Aurore Darensbourg and the late Lula Haydel, Elmore and Morris Becnel.

Services were held July 3 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, with interment at the church cemetery in Taft.
