BEADLE RESERVE – Henry B. Beadle, 79, a native of Garyville and longtime resident ofReserve, died June 11. He was the husband of Shirley Fremin Beadle andfather of Kathryn Hotard, Paulette Otts and David, Robert and the late Henry “Hank” Beadle Jr.

He was also the son of the late Frank and Levie Bergeron Beadle and brother of Myrtle Love, Irene Dardis, Agnes Lovetro, Dianne Allen, Frank W., Daniel,Dudley and Wayne Beadle and the late Ruby Sellars and Richard and Milton Beadle.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He waspreceded in death by four grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

BOURGEOIS BATON ROUGE – Ione Vedros Bourgeois, 87, a native of Lutcher and resident of Jarreau, died June 12. She was the wife of the late Clifton P. “Beet”Bourgeois for 60 years and mother of Sue Arnaud and Mary Kay, Jacqueline “Jay,” Clifton Jr. “Nootsie,” Ronald, Darryl and Michael Bourgeois.She was also the sister of Eula Lucia, Anna Lee Martin, Jimmy Vedros and the late Doris Bernard and Percy Vedros.

She is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She waspreceded in death by two grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, with interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Visitation starts at8 a.m.

HELTZMETAIRIE – Curtis Alphonse Heltz, 78, a native of Paulina and resident of Metairie for 25 years, died June 10. He was the father of Janet Reinschmidt.He was also the son of the late Thelezia Decareaux and Leonard Heltz and brother of Ruby Braud, Margurite Ryan, Genevieve Duthu, Hazel Forsythe and the late Sister Mary Stephen Heltz and Leonard Jr., Earl, Robert and GeorgeHeltz.

He was a U.S. Coast Guard veteran during World War II.Services were June 12 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Metairie Cemetery.

LANDRY NEW ORLEANS – J. Herbert “Herbie” Landry, 69, a native of Lutcher andresident of New Orleans for 60 years, died June 8. He was the husband ofJennie Ray Landry and father of Mariam Velez, Michelle Feraci and Keith, Darrell and Chrys Landry.

He was also the brother of Delta Mae Giangrosso and Russell, Edward and Israel Landry.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services were June 13 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.

PATRICK HAHNVILLE – Augusta Patrick, 82, a former resident of Des Allemands and resident of Plaquemine, died June 5. She was the wife of the late TheodorePatrick.

She was also the aunt of James and Thelma Nedd.

Services were June 12 in the chapel of Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville, with interment at Shell Mound Cemetery, Des Allemands.

ROUSSEAU NEW ORLEANS – Marie B. Rousseau, 95, a native of Luling and resident of NewOrleans for 50 years, died June 7. She was the sister of Frances Sessoms.She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were June 13 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, New Orleans,with interment at Providence Cemetery.

SCHMITZ LAPLACE – Bernard T. “Barney” Schmitz, 82, a native of Kansas and residentof LaPlace for 17 years, died June 8. He was the husband of MargueriteSchmitz and father of Kathleen Hamre, Pamela Jasikoff, Marcia Currie and Bernard Schmitz.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Services were held June 13 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, withinterment at Port Hudson National Cemetery, Zachary.

VERZWYVELT LAPLACE – Dolores M. Verzwyvelt, 61, a native and resident of LaPlace, diedJune 11. She was the wife of Fabian Verzwyvelt and mother of KathleenBossier.

She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Coleen Mancuso.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held June 13 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

WILLIAMS VACHERIE – Albert Alvin Williams, 67, a native and resident of St. JamesParish, died on June 3. He was the husband of Virginia Williams and father ofCheryl Domino and Iris, Paulette, Jenard, Allen, Melissa and Nakia Williams.

He was also the son of the late Squire and Leona Williams and brother of Eva Green, Ruby Belvin and Clarence, Joseph and the late Mary Williams.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were June 10 at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.
