NELSON AMA – Rebie Morris Nelson, 80, native of St. James Parish and resident ofAma, died April 7. She was the wife of of Richard Nelson and mother ofPeggy Baker, Patricia Nelson, Barbara Arthur and Yvonne Paylor.

She was also the daughter of the late Felix and Lucille Morris and sister of the late Marie Villavaso.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at the St. James Catholic Church, St. James,with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

ROYAL ST. ROSE – Paul “Paulee” Royal Sr., 72, a native and resident of St. Rose,died April 9. He was the husband of Jane Ricardo Royal and father of PaulRoyal Jr. and Regina Lambert.He was also the son of the late Titus and Florence Royal and brother of Titus Royal Jr., Charles Royal Sr., Thelma Smith, Hattie Deggs, LouellaSlack and the late Joseph Royal.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held April 10 at the Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose,with interment at Jefferson Memorial Garden Cemetery, St. Rose.

SOULDIER MARRERO – Emma Mary Souldier, 81, a native of St. James Parish and resident of Marrero, died April 6. She was the wife of Hubert Souldier bythird marriage, the late Victor Fouquet Jr. by second marriage and Alvin J.Marse by first marriage. She was also the mother of Sheila Gegenheimerand Vickie Doss and step-mother to Victor J. Fouquet III.She was also the daughter of the later Mary and Joseph Blank and sister of Olympe Blank and the late Joseph, Emile and Mitchell Blank.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held April 10 at Mothe Funeral Home Inc., Harvey, withinterment at Hook and Ladder Cemetery, Harvey.

VAMPRAN HOUSTON, Texas – Vincent “Vin” Ralph Vampran, 51, a native of Reserve and resident of Houston, Texas, died April 5. He was the husband of BrendaVampran and father of Ralph Vincent Vampran and Nicole Joseph.

He was also the son of the late Anthony and Alma Vampran and brother of Paul, John and Alfred Vampran, Joyce James and Susan Simon.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Churh, Houston, withinterment at Veterans Administration Cemetery, Houston. Visitationbegins at 8 a.m.
