ADAMS MARRERO – Stephen “BB” Adams Jr., 77, a native of Vacherie and a residentof Marrero, died April 5. He was the husband of Lena Adams, father ofDianne Stevens and stepfather of Juanita Beco and Norris Perkins.

He was also the son of the late Stephen Sr. and Noelia Florent Adams andbrother of Agnelia Dumas and Wilfred, Gladys, Dorothy, Mary, Virginia, Melvina and the late Clifton, Harold and Alfred Adams.

He is also survived by four grandchildren Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Phillip Catholic Church, Vacherie, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.

GROWS EDGARD – Brice Anthony Grows, 22, a native and resident of Edgard, died April 2. He was the father of Larenz N. Pierre and Brionna M. Lumar.He was also the son of Francis Williams and Clarence Gordon and brother of Troy Grows and Tevince Gordon Services are today at 11 a.m. at the Second African Baptist Church, Edgard,with interment at Young Cemetery, Edgard. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

ROUSSEL GRAMERCY – Roland P. “Shawee” Roussel, 75, a native of Paulina and aresident of Gramercy, died April 4. He was the husband of Rosemary Rousseland father of Wanda Lambert and Ray and Brent Roussel.

He was also the son of the late Lucress and Romero Roussel and brother of Gloria Babin, Gladys LeBlanc and Raymond, Leo and the late Ray and Herbert Roussel.

He is survived by 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Services were April 7 at Sacred Heart Church, Gramercy, with entombment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Gramercy.

SANDERS LAPLACE – Joshua George Sanders,15, a native and resident of LaPlace, died April 3. He was the son of Sylvia Sanders and the late Russel G. Sanders andbrother of Timothy Sanders.

He was also the grandson of Maude Munoz and the late Paul Munoz.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at the New Wine Christian Fellowship Church,LaPlace. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

SCHEXNAYDRE DESTREHAN – Daneil John “Hank” Schexnaydre, 74, a native and resident of Destrehan, died April 3. He was the husband of Yvonne Schexnaydre andfather of Joanne Gauthe, Diane Roussel and Daniel Jr. and DavidSchexnaydre.

He was also the son of the late Rock and Olivia Schexnaydre and brother of Herman, Mabel and the late Louis, Andr and Wilfred Schexnaydre and Mildred Webre.

He is survived by six grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

Services were held April 6 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with entombment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum,Destrehan.

STUTTS VACHERIE – Louis Stutts, 84, a native and resident of Vacherie, died March 30. He was the uncle of Lawrence Turner and the cousin of Equilla Keller andNezzie Laurent.

Services will be April 10 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church,Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.

THIBODEAUX HAMMOND – Paul Anthony Thibodeaux, 28, a native of LaPlace and resident of Hammond, died April 4. He was the husband of Dawn Thibodeaux andfather of Zachary and Lesley Thibodeaux.

He was also the son of Joseph Thibodeaux and Mary Venterella and brother of Kenneth Joseph and Johnathan Trahan. He was also the grandson of LelaThibodeaux and Anthony and Hilda Vinterella.

Services were April 6 at Harry McKneely and Son Funeral Home, Hammond, with interment at Rose Memorial Mausoleum, Hammond.

VIRGA NEW ORLEANS – Mary Pizzolato Virga, 97, a native of St. Rose and residentof New Orleans, died April 4. She was the wife of the late John Virga andmother of Angie Lovecchio, Josephine Dimitri, Geroge Virga and Rosemary Campo.

She is preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services were April 6 at St. Anthony of Padua Cathollic Church, New Orleans,with interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum, Metairie.
