BENTON – Benton knocked St. James out of the Class 3A quarterfinalsFriday night, rallying from a 14-point deficit for a 28-14 victory.

Benton will play Amite in the semifinals next week. St. James finished theseason at 9-3. It is the first time in four seasons the Wildcats have notadvanced to the semifinals and the first time in eight years that they have not won at least 10 games.

Corey Webster ran for a score and threw for one to Davin Dennis to give the Wildcats the 14-point advantage.
