ARMSTRONG

NEW SARPY – Geraldine Douglas White Armstrong, 55, a native and resident of New Sarpy, died Nov. 18. She was the wife of Percy Armstrong,mother of Louis Jr., Ezelkiel, Michell and Rona White, Pierre and TanyaArmstrong and the late Carla White, and stepmother of James Joseph, Lisa Armstrong and Ora, Percy and Priscilla Smith.

She was also the daughter of Loretta B. Douglas and the late ClintonDouglas Jr. and sister of Bernadette Blue, Clinton III, Lloyd, Harold, Allen,Ronald, Ernest, Keith, Floyd and Abraham Douglas and the late Donald and Alvin Douglas.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, New Sarpy,with interment at St. Rose Cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

BEADLE

RESERVE – Bret Richard Beadle, 26, a native and resident of Reserve, died Nov. 2. He was the fiance of Brandy Catalano.He was also the son of David and Sandra Beadle and brother of Beth Haddock and Bryan Beadle.

He was also the grandson of Henry and Shirley Beadle, Beatrice Cole and the late J.W. Evans.Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

HEBERT

METAIRIE – Donald Ray Hebert, 62, a native of Paradis and resident of Metairie for 30 years, died Nov. 20. He was the father of Donna Barberito,Robin LaBorde, Jevonna Lawrence, Tracey Stevens and Carey, Renee and Aubrey Hebert.

He was also the son of the late Emile and Clarise Ponville Hebert and brother of Audrey Champagne and the late Alvin and Milton Hebert.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was the former owner of the Sands nightclub and a former certified pipefitter for 40 years.

Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home,Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories. Visitation starts at 8a.m.

MOLIERE

DESTREHAN – Marcus Poston Moliere, 72, a native and resident of St. Rose,died Nov. 19. He was the husband of Eva Vinnett Moliere and father ofBernadette Jackson, Sherridel Rising, Evette Washington and Burnell, Theodis and Lincoy Moliere.

He was also the son of the late Joseph and Roxana Stewart Moliere and brother of Maybell Vinet, Thelma Jackson, Carrie Mae Moliere and the late Evelyn Ringo, Helen Sims and Lelia, Eartha, James, John, Joseph and Edward Moliere.

He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was a retired mechanic for Delta Airlines and later worked for A.M.E.Services in Norco.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

RODNEY

ST. ROSE – Paul Rodney Jr., 65, a native of St. Rose and a resident ofKenner, died Nov. 17. He was the husband of Alvery Beloney Rodney andfather of Janice Jones, Wanda Nocentelli, Terri Thomas and Staci, Traci and Isaac Rodney.

He was also the son of the late Paul and Pearl Rodney and brother of Rose Eugene, Gladys Kelly, Pearl Warren, Eloise Washington, Ethel Marbley and Edward, Calvin and Carl Rodney.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Nov. 23 at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose, withinterment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.

ROQUES

PAULINA – Theophile Antoine Roques, 82, a native and resident of Paulina, died Nov. 20. He was the husband of Linda Vicknair Roques and father ofLinda Weidert, Caroll Pedroza, Thomas Sr. and Craig Roques and the lateTheophile Roques Jr.

He was also the son of the late Alban and Aline Ordeneaux Roques and brother of Sister Mary Juliana, Therese Miley, Irene Bourgeois and Alban Jr., Achille, Pascal, Nelson and Maurice Roques.He is also survived by nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a retired operator at Colonial Sugar Refinery in Gramercy.

Services were held Nov. 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.

SIMON

VACHERIE – Maria Faucheux Simon, 69, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 20. She was the wife of Nolan A. Simon and mother of MariaGravois, Ruby LeBlanc Thomas, Angela Zeringue, Christie Lassere and Anne Becnel.

She was also the daughter of the late Ferducie Sr. and Martha HaasFaucheux and sister of Orabelle Simon, Ferducie Jr. and George Faucheux,and the late Paul Faucheux.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Nov. 22 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, withinterment at the church cemetery.

TASSARA

RESERVE – Michelle Lynn Tassara, 17, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 19. She was the daughter of Michael and Elaine Boe Tassara andsister of Melissa, Michael Jr. and Matthew Tassara.She was also the granddaughter of Leonard Boe and the late Winnie Boe and Johnny and Kathleen Tassara.

Services were held Nov. 23 at Reserve Christian Fellowship Church,Reserve.

TASSIN

LAPLACE – Mary Gladys Schaubhut Tassin, 88, a native of Lutcher and a resident of Wallace and LaPlace, died Nov. 20. She was the wife of the lateMaurice F. Tassin Sr. and mother of Mary Zeringue, Deanna Schexnayder,Maurice Jr. and Melvin Tassin and the late Theresa Tassin.She was also the daughter of the late Blanchard and Anise Torres Schaubhut and sister of Hilton Anderson.

She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 22 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home,LaPlace, with interment at Lake Lawn Mausoleum, New Orleans.

WARREN

LAPLACE – Brother Joseph Warren Sr., 70, a native of Montz and residentof LaPlace for many years, died Nov. 18. He was the husband of Helen GreenWarren and father of Gayle McKinnis, Stacy Frontin, Connie Jackson and June, Nichole, Michael, Aaron and Dwight Warren.

He was also the son of the late Bishop Joseph and Mary Huffman Warren and brother of Evola Keller, Cloria Clark, Selina Paul, Mary Boatner and the Rev. Raphield, the Rev. Samuel and Benjamin Warren.He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Greater Morning Star Baptist Church,LaPlace, with interment at Providence Resthaven Cemetery, LaPlace.

Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

YOUNG

METAIRIE – Rose Agnes Blanchard Young, 88, a native of Luling, former resident of New Orleans and Metairie and a resident of Diamondhead, Miss.,died Nov. 20. She was the wife of the late Robert Elmer Young and motherof Meriam Galjour, Adele Adams, Mary Mizell, Bobbie Jacobson, Madeline Walker and Thomas Young.

She was also the daughter of the late Henri and Noelie Theriot Blanchard and was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters.

She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was a retired Deputy Clerk of Court for the City of New Orleans, where she was employed for 25 years.

Services were held Nov. 23 in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home,Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
