ANKUM WELCOME – Alice LeBeouf Ankum, 63, native and resident of Welcome died Nov. 8. She was the wife of the late Alfred Ankum Sr. and the mother ofAlfred Jr., James, Pamela Ankum and Patricia Harris Vaultz.She was also the daughter of the late June Sr. and Octavia GauthreauxLeBeouf and the sister of Warren, Charles, Paul, Albert LeBeouf, Eva Mae Harris, Joyce, Willie Ann LeBeouf, Octavia Thorton Brittany, the late Fannie, Ethel, Junior and the Rev. June LeBeouf Jr.Services were held on Nov. 12 at Mount Calvary Baptist Church in St.James, with interment at the church cemetery.

CROCHET MARRERO – Roy Paul Crochet, 77, a native of Pierre Part and a resident of Des Allemands, died Nov. 8. He was the husband of Julie Marie Crochet andfather of Rose Lee, Paula Benoit, Edgar, Melvin, Roy, Peter and Richard Corchet and step-father of Annette and Goldie Mullins.

He was also the son of the late Edgar and Bertha Berthelot Crochet and brother of the late Annette Michelle and Allen and Renee Crochet.

He is also survived by 26 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 12 in the chapel of Westside Funeral Home,Marrero, with interment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.

FLIPPEN DESTREHAN – Robert J. Flippen Sr., 67, a native of New Orleans, resident ofDestrehan for 20 years and resident of Peachtree, Ga. for the past sixmonths, died Nov. 8. He was the husband of Carmen Montero Flippen andfather of Mary Virginia “Ginny” Dubon, Laurie Delesandro and Barry Michael, Brad and Robert Flippen Jr.

He was also the son of Sarah Robert Flippen and brother of Norman Boudreaux and Yvonne, Charlene and William Flippen.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

He was a colonel in the U.S. Army and served for 30 years, earning theArmy Commendation Medal and Meritorious Service Award and was inducted into the Artillery Officer Candidate School Hall of Fame.

Services were held Nov. 12 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church cemetery.

JEFFERY VACHERIE – Royan “Big Red” Jeffery, 60, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 6. He was the husband of Viola Miller Jeffery and the father ofRoyan C. Joseph, Karla, Christy Jeffery and Arkeithia Williams.He was also the brother of Warren, Raymond, John, Joseph, Alfred, Dolores Jeffery and Audrey Keller.

He is survived by eight grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at St. Phillip Catholic Church inVacherie, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 8a.m.LANDRY PAULINA – Milton Joseph “Moon” Landry, 82, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Nov. 9. He was the husband of the late Mabel Richard Landryand father of Betty Duhe, James Landry and the late Vera Heltz.

He ws also the brother of Estelle Millet and the late Arthur Landry.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was a retiree of Shell Norco.

Services were held Nov. 12 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.

LEBLANC CONVENT – Mercedes Braud LeBlanc, 83, a native and resident of Convent died Nov. 10. She was the wife of the late Kelly LeBlanc Sr. and the motherof Jacqueline LeBlanc Folse, Lawrence LeBlanc and the late Kelly LeBlanc Jr.

She was the daughter of the late Gaston and Beatrice Braud, the step- daughter of Eola Braud and the sister of Eunice DeCuire, Jules, Horace Braud, the late Gladys Veret, Marie Patin, Iona Keyand and Wesley Braud.

She is survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Convent,with interment at the church cemetery.

NELSON RESERVE – Dale F. Nelson, 55, and native and resident of Reserve, died Nov.10. He was the father of Marcia Ann Lyons.He was also the son of Shirley K. Nelson and the late Dale F. Nelson Sr. andbrother of Andrea Walker, Raoul R., Craig A., Cynthia Nelson and the lateBruce and Naomi Nelson.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were Saturday at 10 a.m. at Millet Guidry Funeral Home, AirlineHighway in LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery in Reserve.PERILLOUX LAPLACE – Helen Tabor Perilloux, 66, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 10. She was the wife of the late Rudolph Perilloux and mother ofSylvia Roussel, Cora Louque and Larry Perilloux.

She was also the daughter of the late Albert and Helen Tabor.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 12 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.ROUSSEL MT. AIRY – William “Pumpkin” Roussell, 20, a native and resident ofReserve, died Nov. 6. He was the father of Darlisa Roussell and Ty’ JonaeRaymond.

He was also the son of John Sr. and Contesser Roussell and brother ofRosalyn Gilbert, John Jr., Jon John, Jonathan and Juan Roussell.He was also the grandson of Maize and Welmon Edwards and Verna May and Joseph Phillips.

He was a student at East St. John High School.Services were Saturday at noon at St. John Baptist Church, with intermentat St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.SANDERS LAPLACE – Shirley Ann Bernard Sanders, 47, resident of LaPlace and native of New Orleans, died Nov. 10. She was the mother of Chantel and GilbertSanders Jr.

She was also the daugter of Ulyssess Bernard Jr. and Gertie J. Bernard andthe sister of James Sr., Gerie Mae, Albert, Helen, Lawrence, GwendolynBernard, Clara Robertson, Audry August and Cyntha Bernard Waite.

She is survived by three grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday at 11 a.m. at Zion Travelers B.C. inReserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery in Lions.

TREGLE RACELAND – Landry “Poucky” Tregle Jr., 60, a native of Morgan City and aresident of Des Allemands, died Nov. 10. He was the father of NekkiSchicksnyder and Baron Tregle.

He was also the son of Rosemary Tregle and the late Landry Tregle Sr. andbrother of Melazie Martindale, Wesley Tregle and the late Norton Tregle.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held Nov. 12 in the chapel of Falgout Funeral Home,Raceland, with interment at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands.
