Anthony and Bobette Larche of LaPlace announce the engagement of their daughter, Tanya Michelle Larche, to Barry Bernard Smith of Starkville, Miss.

The couple will exchange vows Nov. 27 at 11 a.m. at Greater Morning StarBaptist Church in LaPlace. The Rev. Samuel Warren Sr. will officiate theceremony. An adult reception will follow.The bride-elect is a 1991 graduate of East St. John High School. She graduatedwith honors from Jackson State University in Jackson, Miss., with a bachelor’sdegree in accounting. She also attended Mississippi State University pursuing amaster’s degree in business. She is employed by a software implementationcompany in Atlanta.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of James and Helen Smith of Starkville.

He is a graduate of Starkville High School and graduated with honors from Jackson State University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He is employedby Arris Interactive.

Following a honeymoon trip, the couple will reside in Stone Mountain, Ga.
