ALEXANDER AUBURN, Miss. – Ann Marilyn Owen Alexander, 69, a native of Heth, Ark.,and a resident of Smithdale, Miss., died Oct. 22. She was the wife ofHarold Alexander and mother of Julia Webber, Steven Alexander and Charles Alexander.

She was also the sister of Jean Boswell and half-sister of Charles Owen.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 24 at Adams Methodist Church, Auburn, Miss.

DOWNS LULING – Anderson Travis Downs, 71, a native of Marshall County, Ky., anda resident of Luling for 30 years, died Oct. 24. He was the husband of JeanDowns and father of Cathy Campbell, Tina Lambert, Dawn Bosche and Todd and Jona Downs.

He was also the brother of Thomas and Boyce Downs.

He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Memorial services are today at 11 a.m. at Luling United Methodist Church.

HAYDEL EDGARD – Gladys Schexnayder Haydel, 85, a native of Edgard and a resident of Garyville, died Oct. 23. She was the wife of the late Hamilton Haydeland mother of Elise Amedee and the late Carolyn Haydel.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 25 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard,with interment at the church cemetery.

KELLER LAPLACE – Morgan J. Keller, 63, a native and resident of Reserve, died Oct.23. He was the son of the late Sidney and Odette Gueret Keller and brotherof Marie Vicknair, Dolores, Eugene and Gerald Keller and the late Gloria Perilloux and Sidney Keller Jr.

Services were held Oct. 26 at St. Peter Church, Reserve, with interment atthe church cemetery.

MOYER DESTREHAN – Ruth St. Amant Moyer, 71, a native and resident of Luling,died Oct. 24. She was the former wife of Donald Moyer Sr. and mother ofDonald Moyer.

She was also the daughter of the late Dennis Sr. and Audrey Rome St.Amant and sister of Verna Burkett, Margaret Fiegenschue, Mary Norfleet and Dennis St. Amant Jr.Services were held Oct. 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

PRUDHOMME METAIRIE – Margaret Anne Elfer Prudhomme, 52, a native of St. Rose and aresident of Metairie for 36 years, died Oct. 20. She was the wife of thelate Dennis Prudhomme Sr. and mother of Charles Anthony “Cap,” DennisJr. and the late Mary Prudhomme.She was also the daughter of the late Ernest Sr. and Margaret McGettiganElfer and sister of Marie Hudson, Veronica Gardner and Dorothy and Ernest Elfer Jr.

Memorial services are tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Clement of RomeCatholic Church, Metairie.

SAGONA PAULINA – Mildred Simon Sagona, 77, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Oct. 21. She was the mother of Carol Depa.She was also the sister of Ruby Part and Harry Simon.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

Services were held Oct. 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church cemetery.

ZENON NEW ORLEANS – Doretha “Reet” Lewis Zenon, 77, a native of Lutcher and a resident of New Orleans for 70 years, died Oct. 21. She was the wife ofthe late Norbert Zenon Sr. and mother of Norbert Zenon Jr.She was also the daughter of the late Lena Florent Lewis and Isiah Lewis Sr. and sister of Isiah Lewis Jr. and the late Milton, Clarence, Matthew,William and Dorothy Lewis.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were held Oct. 26 at Franklin Avenue Baptist Church, NewOrleans, with interment at St. Roch No. 2 Cemetery, New Orleans.
