Life is full of surprises. Who would have thought the Denver Broncos wouldbe 0-4? Who would have thought computers would control the world so quickly? Who would have thought that the Saints would collapse in the last minutes of the football game against the Chicago Bears? OK, maybe we knew about the Saints.

This past Sunday I attended a surprise birthday party for my grandfather. PawPaw Keller said he never wanted a surprise birthday party, but he got one and boy, was he surprised. He thanked the people for the party and said how God hasblessed his life. But, that was not the best surprise for me. I wasn’t sure if theywould have good food, so I ate something before I left the house. Well, surprise!Somebody made some awesome gumbo. On the way home I told my mom that thelady who made that gumbo, Mrs. Jill Eichhorn, is a genius. Yes, life is full ofsurprises.

The night before that some of my relatives from Texas visited us. My Aunt Vickihad a huge surprise for my Paw Paw Michel. Knowing that he always wanted toknow more about his mother, who died when he was only 6, Aunt Vicki did a family tree. Her book includes many facts about his ancestors. He must havebeen filled with joy to read of the mother he didn’t know too much about.
