COUSIN GONZALESCarl Anthony “Cuz” Cousin, 46, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Maurepas, died Oct. 2. He was the husband of Karen RodostaCousin, father of Carl Jr. and Kyle Cousin and step-father of MelissaCanezaro and Oscar and Tammie Armand.
He was also the son of Thelma Cheek and the late Theophile Anthony Cousin, brother of Sherry Perrilous and Terry Cousin and step-brother of Leonard Cheek.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 5 at Ourso Chapel, Gonzales, with interment at St.Joseph Cemetery, French Settlement.
DIMES CONVENTEdwin Charles Dimes, 95, a native of Convent and a resident of Cleveland, Ohio, died Sept. 27.Services were held Oct. 5 at St. James Methodist Church, Convent, withinterment at the church cemetery.
HYMES VACHERIE Floriska Benoit Hymes, 96, a native of Vacherie and a resident of New Orleans, died Oct. 1. She was the wife of the late Wilson Hymes.She was also the daughter of the late Norbert and Natalie Benoit and sister of Ismay Young. She is preceded in death by four sisters and onebrother.
Services are today at 11 am. at First Baptist Church of Vacherie, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
KNIGHT MT. AIRYJonai Amaricle Knight, 17 months, a resident of Mt. Airy, diedSept. 28. She was the daughter of Joseph and Tiffany Ingram Knight andsister of Janta Jamaal and Joseph Knight Jr.
She was also the granddaughter of Beverly Knight, Geanie Ingram, Frank Ingram, Paul Hill and the late Joseph Reynaud.
She was also the great-granddaughter of Caroline Ingram, Josephine Hill, Claude Knight Sr. and the late Delores Knight, Leola Coleman and IrvinReynaud.
Services were held Oct. 2 at St. Mark Baptist Church, Mt. Airy, withinterment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.
LEVATINO LAPLACEKimberly “Kim” Daley Levatino, 28, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 3. She was the wife of Matt Levatino and mother of JakeLevatino.
She was also the daughter of Richard and Marsha Vicknair Daley and sister of Chris and Troy Daley and the late Richard Daley.
She was also the granddaughter of Daniel and Mable Vicknair and the late Richard Daley and Naomi Labon.
Services were held Oct. 5 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, withinterment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
MADERE LAPLACESamuel “Sammy” Madere, 52, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 1. He was the husband of Donna Madere and father of Danielle St.Martin and Chantel, Samson and Renee Madere.
He was also the son of Violet Madere and the late Davis Madere Sr. andbrother of Kathleen Andry and Davis Madere Jr.
He is also survived by two grandchildren.
Memorial services were held Oct. 3 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry FuneralHome, LaPlace.
MIRE NORCOJoseph Paul Mire Jr., 69, a native of Sellers and a resident ofNorco, died Oct. 1. He was the husband of Josephine Digirolamo Mire andfather of Paula Wesley and David and Joseph Mire III.
He was also the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Clemence Marchand Mire andbrother of Joyce Senia and Robert Mire.
He is also survived by six grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 4 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco,with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.
MOSEMAN LIONSRena Moseman, 76, a native and resident of Reserve, died Sept. 29.She was the wife of the late Clarence Moseman and mother of Mable Scofield, Rena Matthews, Barbara Polk, Patricia Wallace and Clarence Jr.,Donald and Joseph Moseman.
She was also the daughter of the late Richard and Lucinda Preston and sister of Cecile Jackson, Delores Gardner and Richard, Earnest and Nolan Preston.
She is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 4 at Zion Travelers Baptist Church, Lions, withinterment at the church cemetery.
ZERINGUE METAIRIEEarl Joseph Zeringue, 77, a native of Ama and a resident of Metairie for 33 years, died Sept. 29. He was the husband of the late MyraBabin Zeringue and father of Candace Lovitt, Melanie Dormady, Melissa Drake and Monica Zeringue.
He was also the son of the late Henry and Olive Friloux Zeringue and brother of Amy Roux, Marie Poche, Esther Detellier, Eula Young, Harry Zeringue and the late Whitney Zeringue.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Services were held Oct. 2 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Metairie, withinterment at Metairie Cemetery.
