Accomplishments really do happen in government, despite public perception of constant scandal and political posturing. A case in point isthe rescue of the Garyville Timbermill Museum.

Through the efforts of the St. John the Baptist Parish Council and StateRep. Bobby Faucheux, a valuable historical resource will be preserved forthe coming generations, offering the Garyville community a source for pride, historial perspective and appreciation.

With the museum becoming part of the state parks system, a welcome infusion of state money to preserve and protect the museum will give St.

John the Baptist Parish still another point of pride, bringing in tourism dollars and helping build the business community, of Garyville and St. JohnParish.
