LAPLACE – Cleven Duhe of LaPlace was arrested by St. John the BaptistSheriff’s deputies June 22 and charged with armed robbery.

Duhe, of 1105 Lester Court, is accused in the June 21 robbery of Holmes Food Mart No. 7 on West Airline Highway. Authorities say Duhe walked into the convenience store early Tuesday morning and threatened the cashier with a beer bottle if she didn’t give him the money from the cash register. The 30-year-old female cashierobeyed, and Duhe then fled the store.

Duhe was recently released from prison and is also charged with parole violation. He is being held on $100,000 bond.
