BRAUD NEW ORLEANSCarl Joseph Braud, 86, a native of St. James and a residentof New Orleans for many years, died June 8. He was the father of Carl Jr.,Rudolph Sr., Larry, Fernand and Delano Braud Sr.He was also the brother of Hattie Norwood, Mazel Perez, Bernard Sr. andGarald Braud Sr.

He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 11 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans.DAVIS LAPLACERonald H. Davis, 44, a native of LaPlace and a resident ofDestrehan, died June 6. He was the husband of Jackie Davis and father ofRonnie “Romple” Damien, LaKeisha, Jarvis, Terrence and Yasmin Davis.

He was also the son of the late Harrison “Papa” and Rosa Mae Davis and brother of Cheri Anderson, Regina Dupard, Glenda Williams, Deidra Johnson and Betty, Harrison Jr. “Husky,” Gary and Donald Ray Davis.He was the owner of Ronald Davis Trucking Service.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church No. 1, LaPlace,with interment at the church cemetery.

GAGLIANO GRAMERCYMarion Anthony “Gag” Gagliano, 70, a native and resident of Gramercy, died June 9. He was the husband of Elva Duhe Gagliano andfather of Melissa Barras and Shelly Ann Gagliano.

He was also the son of the late Marion Sr. and Lena LaForte Gagliano.He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy,with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina. Visitation starts at 8a.m.LAMBERT EVANSVILLE, Ind.Sister Mildred Mary Lambert, 81, a native of Garyvilleand a resident of Seton Residence, Evansville, Ind., died March 26. She wasthe daughter of the late Alcide and Anna Laurent Lambert and sister of Elizabeth Lane and Wallace Lambert.

She entered the Daughters of Charity in 1939 and served in the Health Care Apostolate in many hospitals, including in New Orleans. She was aninstructor in the School of Nursing, Quito, Ecuador, and served for three years as portress at the Mother House in France.

Services were held June 7 at Seton Residence, with interment at St.

Joseph Cemetery, Evansville.

LAZOWSKY LAPLACEGladys Lemoine Lazowsky, 61, a native of Edgard, former resident of New Jersey and resident of LaPlace for two years, died June 3.

She was the wife of the late Joseph Lazowsky and mother of JoAnn Zydallas.

She was also the sister of Ruby Ducote.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held June 9 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace.

PERILLOUX LAPLACEEunice Lasseigne Perilloux, 92, a native of Thibodaux and a resident of LaPlace for 67 years, died June 9. She was the wife of the lateClaude Perilloux and mother of Janet Falgout and Dale Perilloux.

She was also the sister of Garland Tregre, William Lasseigne and the late Thelma Minuet, Elmire Simoneux, Marcy, Henry “Kido” and Roy Tregre and Nicholas and Howard Lasseigne.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 11 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.RUE NEW ORLEANSAndrew “Poppie” Rue Sr., 94, a native of New Sarpy and aresident of Waggaman, died June 7.

He is survived by 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 11 at Prayer Tower Church of God in Christ, New Orleans, with interment at Garden of Memories Mausoleum.

SAVOIE HARVEYSadie Troxler Savoie, 85, a native of Ama and a resident of Harvey, died June 9. She was the wife by first marriage of the lateWilliam N Savoie and by second marriage of Frank Savoie, and mother of William and Edmond Savoie.

She was also the daughter of the late Edmond and Bernadette Falcon Troxler and sister of Mildred Taravella and the late Esther Ponson, Hilda Martinez and Wilbert Troxler.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were held June 10 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, with interment at Westlawn Memorial Park.

URSIN-SMITH LAPLACEIlene McLin Ursin-Smith, 76, a native of Clinton and a resident of LaPlace for 49 years, died June 8. She was the wife of Ralph E. Ursin-Smith and mother of JoAnn Round.

She was also the daughter of the late James B. and Katie Hartner.She is also survived by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Services were held June 11 at First United Methodist Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.WAGUESPACK VACHERIERoyce Gerard Waguespack, 68, a native and resident of Vacherie, died June 7. He was the husband of Cosmella “Cush” RecattoWaguespack for 33 years and the father of Karen Perilloux.

He was also the son of the late Joseph A. and Olive Hymel Waguespack andthe brother of Opal Poole, Lois Bourgeois, Rose Vitrano, LeRoy Waguespack and the late Betsy and Aswell “Jack” Waguespack.

He was a teacher at Ascension Catholic High School for 25 years and a retired St. James Parish teacher.Services were held June 10 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
