LAPLACE – Garyville natives Helen Millet and Fred Brady married on May 7, 1949 and returned to their home parish to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary.

The festivities took place in LaPlace at the Best Western Hotel with much of their family in attendance.

The Bradys had married in St. Hubert Church, then lived and raised their fourchildren in Garyville. After Fred retired in 1988 they left Garyville and movedto Grand Isle, and while not having forgotten their roots, have made it their home for the past 11 years.

Their four children include Rhonda Brady Villar of St. Amant, Duane Brady of Gramercy, Darilyn Brady Dauzat of Kenner and the late Sonia Brady.

Grandchildren are Tiffany Duncan, Autumn Villar, Tommy Langley, Austin and Sommer Brady and Kaitlin and Kody Dauzat. The two great-grandchildren areBraden and Alayna Duncan.
