Man’s body found in river

RESERVE – The body of an adult male was pulled from the Mississippi River by the crew of a Triangle Fleeting tugboat Tuesday afternoon.

Tentative identification of the body was made through examination of a wallet still in a pants pocket, which was recovered by the St. John ParishSheriff’s Office crime scene investigators.

The name was not released, pending further investigation and notification of next of kin.

Triangle Fleet, located in Reserve at Louisiana Highway 3179, reported recovering the body at 1:44 p.m. It was brought to the Harbor Servicesdock of the Port of South Louisiana where Assistant Coroner Dr. DominicArcuri pronounced him dead at 2:45 p.m.
