Bishop E. Bernard Jordan of Zoe Ministries will be the featured speaker ata series of three special events to be held at the Riverlands Christian Center, 123 Redemption Way, Reserve.
Bishop Jordan will be appearing May 19-21, 7:30 p.m. each night,addressing attendees on the Word of God.
Jordan, who holds a doctorate in religious studies, has published 19 books.
In 1988 and 1992 he addressed a special assembly of ambassadors and diplomats at the United Nations.

*** The New Orleans Civic Symphony will present “The Music of Broadway” at St. Peter Church in Reserve on Sunday at 3 p.m. The free concertconducted by Milton Bush will feature vocal soloist Terry Brown in selections from Broadway musicals such as “Oklahoma,” “My Fair Lady” and “The Sound of Music.”The concert is being sponsored by the NALCO Foundation and is open to the public.
*** Mt. Zion Baptist Church in St. Rose is celebrating its new sanctuary withDedication Services on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. and Monday-Friday, May 24-28,at 7 p.m.Pastor Isaiah Franklin leads the of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.*** Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Boutte is holding Gospel Festival 1999 on June 5and 6. The festival will feature choirs, gospel groups, sermons, food,games and other activities.

The show is the first of four dinner theatreproductions on tap at Bull’s Corner this year.
Cost of the show is $35. Dinner will consist of appetizers, soup/salad, anentree of chicken or seafood, coffee and dessert. A cash bar will also beavailable.
*** The East St. John High School Class of 1989 is planning its 10-yearreunion to be held in October.
