HARRY Ernest Joseph “Babe Ruth” Harry, 75, a native and resident of Vacherie, died April 18. He was the husband of the late Rose Mary Jessie Harry,Joyce Saul and Lillie Mae VanBuren. He was the father of Raymond, Elston,Stephen, Paul, Clarence, Eddie and Maude Harry, Catherine Lacey, Leslie Keller and Kathleen Rodrigue.

He was the son of the late Bienvenue an Mary Keller Harry and the brother of Amie Chopin, Esther Williams, Eve and Anita Batiste, Milton, Jilvain and Herbert Harry and the late Jules Sr., Alfred and Raymond Harry. He is survived by 16 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren.

Services were April 23 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

HYMEL Lydia Plaisance Hymel, 95, a native of Belle Rose and resident of Garyville for the past 80 years, died April 21. She was the wife of the late ArthurHymel and the mother of Clyde, Kermit, Robert, Kenneth, Timothy and Michael Hymel, Gertrude Jacob, Betty Ramagos, Hazel Michel, Elmire Vicknair, Veronica Aucoin, Cynthia Shaubhut and Linda Haydel.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Aurelia Romero Plaisance and sister of the late Albert, Anthony and Samuel Plaisance, Alida Frederic, Ida Solar and Inez Grobe.

She is survived by 53 grandchildren, 115 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were April 23 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. JUDD Leonard Sylvester Judd, 66, a native of New Orleans and resident of St.

Rose, died April 20. He was the husband of Ann Eskew Judd and the fatherof Lynn Badeaux, Lora Murray, Jan Duncan, Jeri Davis and Lenny, Mark, Dwayne, Jeffrey and Justin Judd.

He was the son of the late Irene Trayal and William Judd and brother of Willie and Joe Judd, Mary Cooper, Peggy Mailton, Hazel and Carol Judd, Karla Lewis and the late Tommy Judd.

He is survived by 12 granchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were April 21 at Kenner Funeral Home of L.A. Muhleisen & Son,Kenner, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

JOHNSON Patricia Washington Johnson, 47, a native of St. Rose and resident ofLaPlace, died April 19. She was the wife of William Johnson and mother ofJonika Washington and the late Alfred Brown Jr. and the stepmother ofDerrick Allen.

She was the daughter of the late Herbert and Nellie Genevia Washington and the sister of Shirley Armstrong, Ernestine Young, Herbert Jr., LionelSr., Leona, Ethel, Arthur, Mary Alice, Herman, Robert and Barry Washintonand the late Genevieve Washington.

She is survived by one grandchild.

Services were April 23 at Oakland Baptist Church, Kenner, with internment at St. Rose Cemetery, St. Rose. MASON Calvin Charles Mason, 54, a native of Reserve and resident of St. Rose,died April 19. He was the son of the late Joseph and Martha Mason and thebrother of Joseph Jr., Alvin, Jason, Cleophras and Leroy Mason Sr., DorothyRobertson, Naomi Davis, Betty Devare and Vernessa Mitchell.

Services were April 24 at Zion Traverlers Baptitst Chruch, with interment in the church cemetery.

POIRIER Rene’ Louis Poirier Jr., 82, a native and former longtime resident of St.James and resident of Donaldsonville, died April 21. He was the husband oflate Dolores Barrios Poirier and the father of Donna Glaviana, Annalyn Giroir and Rene III, Byron and Stephen Poirier.

He was the son of Rene’ Sr. and Irma Guidry Poirier and brother of MabelSmith, Clemence Barrios, Lois Hymel and the late Frances Poirier.

He is survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services wereApril 24 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, withinterment at the church cemetery.

SPIZALE Victoria Gagliano Spizale, 95, a native and resident of Gramercy, died April 19. She was the wife of the late John Spizale and the mother ofDorothy Ordeneaux, John Spizale and the late Carl Spizale Jr. and BeverlyKahl.

She was the sister of the late Lena Accardo, Mary Manda, Marion Gagliano, Lawrence Gagliano, Joseph Gagliano and Martin Gagliano.

She is survived by 14 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Services were April 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Paulina. STIRGUS Jacqueline Stirgus, 52, a native and resident of LaPlace, died April 20. Shewas the daughter of Beatrice Bazile and the step-daughter of the late Ernest Bazile. She was the mother of Alana and Lela Stirgus.She is survived by one grandchild.

Services were April 24 at Providence Baptist Church No. 1, LaPlace, withinterment at Providence Rest Haven, LaPlace.

TYLER Irvin Tyler, a native of Destrehan and resident of Kenner, died April 21. Hewas the brother of Geraldine Myers and Malyon Scott.

He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services were April 24 at Richardson Funeral Home, Inc., River Ridge, withinterment at Belgrove Cemetery, Kenner.

WILLSON Harry “Harry Hippy” Willson, 55, a resident of Hahnville, died April 14. Hewas the father of Carolina Willson, Donna Calloway and Sharon Davis.

He was the brother of James and Charlie Willson Jr. and Rosalie Brown,Vera Willson, Ophelia Walker, Donna Meeks and Elaine Lumar.

He is survived by five grandchildren.

Services were April 21 at True Vine Baptist Chruch, Hahnville, with interment in Bethlehem Cemetery, Hahnville.
