Hymel, Dooley marry in St. Joan

Lee Antoinette Hymel and Robert Matthew Dooley, both of West Palm Beach, Fla.,were united in marriage Jan. 16 at St. Joan of Arc Church in LaPlace with theRev. Robert Vincent officiating. Following the ceremony a reception was held atthe Champagne Palace.

The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Richard Joseph Hymel of Baton Rouge.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Marion Hymel and the late Mr. Hymel of LaPlace.The bridegroom is the son of Brenda White Nelson of Sweetwater, Tenn., andRobert Dooley of Sugar Valley, Ga.

The bride, whose mother is the former Viola Patterson of Springfield, was graduated from St. Charles Catholic High School and Louisiana State UniversitySchool of Nursing, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing. Sheis employed as a critical care/recovery nurse at JFK Hospital in Lake Worth, Fla.

She is the granddaughter of Rosalie Vicknair Patterson Smith and the late Leon Patterson of Springfield and the late Mr. and Mrs. Icar Hymel of LaPlace.The groom attended the University of Tennessee. He is employed by LightingDynamics of Fort Lauderdale as a manufacturers’ representative for lighting specifications and design.

He is the grandson of Eva White and the late Lewis White of Sweetwater and Mrs. Ray Dooley and the late Mr. Dooley of Georgia.Matron of honor to the bride was her godmother, Donna Perriloux Smith, of Prairieville. Attendants were longtime friends of the bride, Stacey Hille Delatteof LaPlace and Ann Holt Minard of Luling. Junior bridesmaid was Kristine Lorioof LaPlace.

The groom’s best man was longtime friend Joel Steve Ford, of Knoxville, Tenn.

Groomsmen were Steve Masters and Patrick Lundy of West Palm Beach. Thejunior groomsman was the bride’s godchild, Travis Smith of Prairieville. Usherwas Steven Montz of Reserve.

Readers for the celebration were Jill Marino of Mandeville and Suzanne Entremont of Reserve.

Music was provided by Brent Torres and the bride’s cousin, Joel Entremont, both of LaPlace.

Following a wedding trip to the islands of Nevis and St. Kitts, British WestIndies, the couple will reside in West Palm Beach
