“We used to take a day off now and then,” said Sue Eliser, co-owner of Advanced Collision in LaPlace. “I would paint and Clarence would gofishing. Now we’re too busy to take off.”Clarence and Sue Eliser of Montz opened Advanced Collision in Norco nine years ago and moved to LaPlace in 1997.

While Clarence and three employees handle the responsibilities of the body shop where they refinish, paint, do body work and a little mechanic work, Sue,43, handles almost everything else at Advanced Collision.

Her duties include including paperwork, insurance, payroll and estimates.

She admits she also handles most of the cleaning, sometimes putting in 10-12 hour days.

Sue Eliser loves to paint and took classes with Sue Sickle of LaPlace. Shepaints as often as she can when not working and also enjoys gardening.

A graduate of the GED program in St. Charles Parish, Sue Eliser is a firmbeliever in education and tries to take continuing education courses when she can.

Between the couple they have four children and one grandchild.
