CUNY – BATON ROUGE – Jeffrey W. Cuny, 90, a native of Reserve and a resident ofBaton Rouge, died Feb. 26. He was the husband of the late Virginia MilletCuny and father of Oceania Scardina.

He was also the son of the late Adolf and Cecile Cuny and brother of Doris Landry, Estelle Pittman, Roy Cuny and the late Gladys Pope and Gene and Joseph Cuny.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 1 at St. George Catholic Church, Baton Rouge,with interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

FALGOUT – DESTREHAN – James E. “Jimmy” Falgout, 64, a native of St. Rose and aresident of Destrehan for 33 years, died Feb. 27. He was the husband of Emma Joy Falgout and father of Jennifer Paternostro and Mark and Eric Falgout.

He was also the son of Louis Falgout and the late Agatha Weber Falgout and brother of Lois Morici, Doris Bertucci, Audrey Naquin and George, Robert, David and the late L.J. Falgout.He is also survived by nine grandchildren.

Services were held March 2 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church,Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.

KLIEBERT – PAULINA – Armance Chenier Kliebert, 88, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 27. She was the wife of the late Benoit J.Kliebert and mother of Kathleen Canatella and Cynthia, Dawn, J.B., Ronaldand Clifford Kliebert.

She was also the daughter of the late Armand and Virginia Oubre Chenier and sister of the late Luce Cazenave, Evelyn Becnel and Joseph, Alcee and Louis Chenier.

She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 1 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church mausoleum.

ROAN – LAPLACE – Pearl Ethel Roan, 95, a native and resident of Montz, died Feb. 27. She was the wife of the late Stanford E. Roan.She was also the daughter of the late Harmon and Avelina Smith and sister of the late Henry A. Smith.Services were held March 1 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.

ROBERSON – NORCO – Virginia Edwards Roberson, 52, a native and resident of St.Charles Parish, died Feb. 27. She was the wife of the late RichardRoberson, common-law wife of Danny Dufrene and mother of Timothy, Richard Jr. and Scott Roberson.She is also survived by two grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were incomplete at presstime.

VEDROS – GRETNA – Julian Barry Vedros Sr., 65, a native of Gramercy and a residentof Gretna, died Feb. 25. He was the husband of the late Jane Terrebonne Vedros and father of Jeanne Kravet and Julian Jr. and Christopher Vedros. He was also the son of the late Phillip Sr. and Solange Melancon Vedros and brother of Beverly Lancaster, Wanda Jackson, Lorraine Oubre, Carolyn Laurent, Ina Gunter, Eleanor Vincent and Mary, Jennie, Phillip Jr., Neylan, Ralph and George Vedros.

He is also survived by four grandchildren.

Services were held March 1 at St. Anthony Catholic Church with intermentat Westlawn Memorial Park.
