LAPLACE – Ascension of Our Lord School enjoyed sunny skies as it held its annual Buddy Field Day Friday morning.

Each student in kindergarten to seventh grade was paired up with a buddy during the day. The buddies participated in events throughout the day,ranging from a sack race and bowling to walking on stilts and dancing the Macarena. Students received points for each event which they could cashin to get snacks. The event was sponsored by the school’s parent-teacherorganization.

At the same time, the school’s preschoolers were holding their Fun Day.

Students participated in a “heavy metal band,” washed clothes and made bubble paintings.
