River Region Chamber of Commerce names Ray Gregson as CEO

The board of the River Region Chamber of Commerce has named Ray Gregson as its president and Chief Executive Officer, CEO.

Gregson was appointed in an interim capacity to lead the River Region Chamber of Commerce since May, until his latest appointment was confirmed. He boasts of business and governmental experience, and is currently an elected member of the St. Charles Parish Public school board.

The River Region Chamber of Commerce board of directors recently voted to approve Gregson as the chamber’s CEO following his successful tenure as Interim Executive Director over the past several months.

His role will seek to build collaboration across St. Charles, St. John, and St. James Parishes, unify businesses, and contribute to a pro-business environment that drives innovation and growth.

“I am deeply honored to continue serving the River Region Chamber of Commerce as CEO,” said Ray Gregson. “The work we’ve done together over the past several months has laid a solid foundation for the future. I look forward to building on our success, further expanding the Chamber’s reach, and driving new opportunities for our members and region.”

The Board of Directors is confident that Gregson’s visionary leadership will continue to elevate the chamber’s influence and impact.

Chairwoman Libby Hotard added, “The future of the Chamber of Commerce is promising with the addition of Ray Gregson, who brings a wealth of experience to the role of CEO, as well as a true desire to support the growth of the river region and its people.

“Ray’s sights are set on excellence, and we look forward to his leadership in promoting business in the river region and across the great state of Louisiana,” Hotard said.

Apart from Gregson’s service on the school board, he also runs a digital marketing firm, Digital Krewe. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of New Orleans.

Gregson is married to Sherri Jacob Gregson, and has three children.
