SJSO investigates LaPlace shooting

Detectives with the St. John Sheriff’s Office are investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday, May 23, 2023 in the 400 block of Corrine Court in LaPlace.
About 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Ridgefield Drive and Corrine Court in reference to gunshots heard in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered that several residences and vehicles were struck by gunfire. No one was injured.
Through investigation, officers determined a home in the 400 block of Corrine Court was tied to the shooting. Based on further investigation, officer obtained a search warrant for the residence where they discovered eight firearms of various calibers and styles.
