RESERVE — Riverside Academy’s Drama Club, the RA Ovations, will present Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s classic JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT this week, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 27-29 at 7:30 p.m. at St. John Theatre in Reserve.  All tickets are reserved seating.  Advance tickets are $12, and tickets are available at the box office the night of the show for $15.

JOSEPH tells the biblical story of Jacob and his 12 sons. Told entirely through song, this musical follows his preferred son, Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.

Directed by Darryl P. Clement, the cast is led by senior Grace Trepagnier as the Narrator and junior Taye Drake as Joseph and supported by a cast of brothers and over two dozen high school and elementary students.
