RA’s Spring Fest to be held April 14-16

RESERVE—Riverside Academy will be a fun place to be this weekend as the school holds its annual Spring Festival. It began on Friday, April 14 will continue until Sunday, April 16. The campus will be filled with rides, games, food, and live entertainment as Riverside “Rocks the Decades.”

The festival will opened with “Fifties Friday” and an appearance by Elvis tribute artist, Nick Perkins. A Fabulous 50s contest was also held.

“Eighties Saturday” features a Fun Run, Miss Spring Belle Pageant, a cook-off, a bake-off, and a cornhole tournament. Chili Mac and cook-off samplers will be sold.

On “Swamp Pop Sunday” there will be a classic car show, band performances, and a live auction. Baked chicken and dirty rice dinners will be sold.

 

Kallie Bourgeois, a senior at Riverside Academy, is a second year journalism student. She is on the swim, soccer, and tennis team. She plans on attending Northwestern State University of Louisiana to major in Journalism. She plans on contributing to The Current Sauce at NSULA.
