Kenner Police investigate fatal shooting

The Kenner Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred in the 2600 block of Greenwood Drive in Kenner on Saturday, April 8, at approximately 4:45 pm. The identity of the victim is being withheld until family members are notified. The suspect of that shooting was identified as Tajh Terrell, 21, Kenner. Terrell was treated for a gun shot wound that he received several minutes after the homicide, blocks away. Terrell was arrested and charged with second degree murder. The circumstances surrounding Terrell’s shooting is still under investigation.
All parties knew each other and were together prior to the shootings. This is an active investigation, KPD will release further details as the investigation continues.
