GARYVILLE — The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a 19-year-old male early Sunday morning.

Police discovered the victim on the property of a residence in the 200 block of S. Emilie Street in Garyville just after 3:30 a.m. April 2.

The victim’s identity has not yet been released. Sheriff Mike Tregre confirmed the victim was not from St. John Parish.

“At this time, we have no witnesses, no suspect, no motives, no leads,” Tregre said.
