Local dance group, Dazzling Divas 985, Inc. completes 6th season

LAPLACE — Dazzling Divas 985, Inc. a non-profit dance group, has completed its sixth parade season this past Mardi Gras. Sponsored by Darlinta Garrison Enterprises, Inc., the dance team was featured in several parades in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Luling, Pearl River, and Laplace.
Dazzling Divas 985, Inc. is more than just a dance group; it is a non-profit organization that helps girls from ages 4-18 express their self-esteem through dance and team building. Despite facing challenges from Hurricane Ida, the organization worked hard to ensure that their girls had a successful and fulfilling season.
“We are thrilled to have completed our sixth season and are so proud of the hard work and dedication that our dancers put into each performance,” said Tajsha (Coach Tay) Howard, Dance Coach of Dazzling Divas 985, Inc. “Our dancers have not only improved their dance skills, but they have also built confidence and self-esteem, which will benefit them for a lifetime.”
Executive Director & Head Coach Darvelle Charles said, “We are grateful to have had the opportunity to share our passion for dance with the community, and we are excited for the future of Dazzling Divas 985, Inc. Our organization is dedicated to providing a positive and supportive environment for young girls to grow and develop their skills, and we look forward to continuing this mission.”

The Business Manager added, “It’s amazing to see how much our girls have grown over the years, and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our sponsors and volunteers. We are thankful for the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young girls in our community.”
Dazzling Divas 985, Inc. was established in 2016 with the mission to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for young girls to express themselves through dance and team building. The organization is committed to empowering young girls to develop leadership skills, self-confidence, and a positive body image.
