LAPLACE—Local author, January Scott, recently released her fourth children’s book, “Will There Ever Be A Mrs. Edna Again?”

Based upon her grandmother, Mrs. Edna Scott, the new book is one of deep affection. “Sometime writing is the only way to express your love for someone who is gone. My new book is an expression of it in words for my grandmother Mrs. Edna Scott”, said Scott.

Mrs. Edna Scott, born in Convent, lived most of her life in Garyville where she raised her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. A grandmother figure to all she met, family was very important to her.

“She was the one who gathered everyone together no matter how far they were. Her unconditional love drew them to her, and she loved it.  She lived a very long and wealthy life of love. It was her delight to serve the Lord and to show others his love through her service. She went home to be with the Lord a month and half before her 93rd birthday. She was loved by all,” Scott said.

The inspiration for this book is to keep her memory alive and to inspire the world of grandmothers and others to live as Mrs. Edna did.

“In doing so memories can be created forever.  Even when they are gone, what they did will have an everlasting impact on current and future generations. The Legacy of greatness and God’s goodness will be displayed in the earth because of them, “said Scott.

Scott’s other books include, “The Fruit Tree” released in 2021,” The Dancing Tutu” and “Lyndell’s Big Surprise” released in 2022. Scott said “I firmly believe in God’s perfect timing. The release of “Will There Ever Be A Mrs. Edna Again? “confirms it because this year I became a grandmother for the first time.”

She is sure to follow in her grandmother’s footsteps by being an awesome grandmother.

All of Scott’s books can be purchased through her or on Amazon. She is also available for public and private readings of her book.
