SCSO investigates St. Rose shooting

St. Rose, Louisiana –The St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance for information on a shooting that occurred Thursday, January 12, 2023, around 5:40 P.M. in the 500 block of Turtle Creek Lane in St. Rose.

Deputies were dispatched to the area around 5:40 P.M. based on the report of gunfire and someone shot.

When deputies arrived at the location, they located a twenty-year-old male victim with gunshot wounds to the groin and chest areas. Deputies immediately began lifesaving measures, and he was transported to a local area hospital.

Through investigation, Detectives have learned there were three subjects, two wearing all black and one wearing gray and black, who entered the victim’s backyard. The two subjects wearing all black entered the front yard and began shooting. All three subjects left the area on foot.

This is an ongoing active investigation.
