Alternating Night Lane Closures on I-310 Boggs Bridge Begin January 16

Luling, LA – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) announces that beginning Monday, January 16, 2023, maintenance will commence on the Hale Boggs Memorial Bridge (I-310, between LA 48 and LA 18), requiring nightly alternating lane closures as crews install concrete barriers along the roadway shoulders of the bridge.

The nightly alternating lane closures, which are weather permitting, are expected to last approximately two weeks and be completed by January 31, 2023.

All four traffic lanes, which are scheduled to be shifted and reduced slightly in width to accommodate work crews, will remain completely open to the public during the day. Additionally, all entrance and exit ramps will remain open at all times.
Nightly alternating lane closures are as scheduled:

I-310 Northbound:

· 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
· 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 a.m., Friday – Saturday.

I-310 Southbound:
· 7:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
· 7:30 p.m. – 11:00 a.m., Friday – Saturday.

Safety reminder:
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
