State Fire Marshal investigates first fatal fire of 2023

NEWS ALERT- State Fire Marshal deputies are investigating the first fatal fire of 2023 in Bush.
Just before 1 a.m. on January 1, St. Tammany Fire District #9 responded to a mobile home fire in the 28000 block of Highway 40 in Bush. Firefighters unfortunately located a female victim inside.
The St. Tammany Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as 51-year-old Stacey Glass.
The investigation into the origin and cause of this fire is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available.
