Being thankful for the gift of a new day

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I believe there are only two days that can disrupt your life in a negative way.  Those days are yesterday and tomorrow.  As we are approaching a new year, I’ve challenged myself to enjoy each day as a gift from God.  Next to my salvation, I will start each day by thanking Him for the gift of a new day.  I will try not to focus on things that I can’t control, but enjoy every moment of my life.  As a Christian, I plan to make decisions based on a question, “What would Jesus do?”

When my children were young, I missed many of the things they did because I was focused on my job.  I can never recapture those moments I missed because I did not realize God’s will for me was to enjoy each day.

As I say good-bye to 2022, I ask God to forgive me for all the times I wasted on things that were not important to promoting His Kingdom.

In 2023, I will attempt to start each day by asking God to give me wisdom when witnessing to others about what Jesus did for me.

Happy New Year!
