TPSO: Heroin Dealers Arrested in Multi-Agency Operation

Chief Jimmy Travis reports the arrest of three individuals after a weeks long investigation concluded in Ponchatoula.
On November 18, 2022, in a joint effort between the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ponchatoula Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations, and Hammond Police Department, they ended a several week investigation into a heroin distribution ring plaguing Ponchatoula area.
Law enforcement began the investigation following numerous complaints in the area and Tangi Crimestoppers tips. As the investigation progressed, law enforcement obtained a search warrant for the residence located on North 11th Street in Ponchatoula.
As a result of the law enforcement seized approximately one ounce of suspected heroin, approximately 6 grams of suspected crack cocaine, approximately an ounce of suspected marijuana, and a pistol with an loaded large extended high capacity magazine.
The search warrant ended with the following subjects being arrested as follows:
Javouris Dewayne Scott b/m 25 years old:
(1) count Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I (Heroin)
(1) count Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Crack Cocaine)
Kendrick Hudson b/m 43 years old:
(1) count Possession with the intent to distribute CDS I (Heroin)
(1) count Possession with the intent to distribute CDS II (Crack Cocaine)
(1) count Driving Under Suspension
(1) count Failure to Appear
Rena Scott b/f 43 years old:
(1) count Possession CDS I (Marijuana)
