GRAMERCY — Waste Management announced today it will continue trash collection services in St. James Parish, Town of Gramercy and Town of Lutcher with the addition of 96-gallon carts serviced by ASL trucks with automatic lifting arms, making collection efficient and safer for the community and WM drivers.

“Waste Management is honored to continue our decades-long partnership with St. James Parish,” said Donald Hains, public sector solutions representative for WM. “As good stewards of the environment, we are looking forward to bringing our ASL trucks and 96-gallon carts to the area to keep St. James Parish, the Town of Gramercy and the Town of Lutcher clean and green, now and for many years to come.”

Residents will receive one 96-gallon cart per household between Nov. 15 and Nov. 30. Residents may begin using the WM cart immediately.

Starting Dec. 5, resident-owned containers will not be collected. All garbage must fit inside the WM 96-gallon cart. Carts are durable, have wheels for easy transport and the lids keep all trash contained within the carts. Carts must be placed at least three feet apart and three feet away from any obstacles (trees, cars, mailboxes, etc.) to allow the automatic arm to lift and empty the carts.
