Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents arrested four Simmesport subjects for alleged commercial fishing violations on Oct. 20 in Avoyelles and Pointe Coupee parishes.

Agents arrested Allen P. Kimble, 56, for filing or maintaining false public records and criminal conspiracy in Avoyelles and Pointe Coupee parishes.  Agents arrested Samantha R. Kimble, 27, for criminal conspiracy in Avoyelles and Pointe Coupee parishes.  Agents arrested Danny E. Laprairie, 66, for filing or maintaining false public records and criminal conspiracy in Pointe Coupee Parish.  Agents arrested Clyde J. Dufour, 65, for filing or maintaining false public records and criminal conspiracy in Avoyelles Parish.

Agents started an investigation into the illegal selling of fish a few months before the arrests.  Agents learned that Allen Kimble was knowingly catching and selling fish under Samantha Kimble’s commercial fishing license to Laprairie in Pointe Coupee Parish and to Dufour in Avoyelles Parish.

Agents obtained arrest warrants for these violations on Oct. 19 and were able to arrest the four subjects on Oct. 20 and booked them into jail.

Filing or maintaining false public records brings up to a $5,000 fine and five years in jail.  Criminal conspiracy penalties are set by the court.

Agents involved in the case are Lt. David Boudreaux, Sgt. Allan Marbury, Corporal Luke Langley, Agent Jamyson Loomis, Agent Dustin Barton and Corporal Jesse Davis.
