The St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office released the following statement this morning:

“The SJSO was contacted regarding a social media threat one of our schools in St. John Parish. We thoroughly and aggressively investigated the case. This morning we took extra steps to ensure that everyone was safe which may have caused some traffic delays and bad nerves but we take these kind of situation very seriously. I want to commend all of the citizens who took the time to contact law enforcement. We can NOT do this alone!!! Stay safe and have a great day!!!”
