The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development will conduct an Open House Public Meeting for the captioned project from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022. The meeting will be held at the St. James Public Relations Building at 1876 W. Main Street, Lutcher, LA 70071. A notice with this information will be published in The News Examiner-Enterprise newspaper to inform the public.

The proposed project will consist of replacing the existing LA 3125 / 3274 intersection and traffic signals with a single-lane roundabout. The roundabout would include a splitter island, bypass island, and curb on each side of the concrete roadway. The project will require grading, drainage work, roadway widening, milling, roundabout construction, and curb and gutter installation. Some required right of way is anticipated. No relocations are anticipated as a result of this project. Access would be restricted to right turns only for two drives adjacent to the proposed roundabout. These drives service properties that have at least one other point of access that will not be restricted.

The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the proposed project and to provide an opportunity for the public to provide comment. For your reference a project location map and aerial photo are attached.
