I think Halloween is one of the most anti-God celebrations in which American people participate.  I realize that I’m in a minority, but I believe it has its connection to the occult and dark spiritual powers.

The World Book Encyclopedia says it is the beginning of all that is cold, dark, and dead.  Who can deny that virtually all the symbols of Halloween are evil?

Witches, monsters, ogres, vampires, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, devils, and demons are portrayed as evil.  The Bible says in I Thessalonians 5:22, “Abstain from every form of evil.”

It’s a fact that two-thirds of all Americans will decorate their homes for Halloween.  Hallmark will sell over 25 million Halloween cards this year.  Halloween is a multi-billion dollar business.  The consumers will spend over $900 million this year on candy alone.

Approximately 20 years ago, two brothers in Philadelphia opened a Halloween adventure shop to make some quick money.  Today, they have stores along the Eastern Seaboard that are open only two months a year.  They earn millions of dollars every year.  (Keep in mind that these are Halloween adventure shops which are open only the months of September and October.)

What’s the big attraction?  The answer is evil. People are spiritual beings and are attracted to spiritual things. Halloween is a very spiritual celebration. Spirits can be good or evil. Halloween celebrates evil spirits.

Halloween’s success can be attributed, in part, to its secular nature. Even haunted houses are advertised on television.

To the many readers who consider Halloween harmless fun for their children, I pray that God will remove the blinders from your eyes.
