Irma Marie Michel Matherne born December 25, 1939 in Convent, LA entered eternal rest peacefully October 14, 2022 at St. James Parish Hospital, Lutcher LA. Irma loved and adored growing up in her large family. She enjoyed spending time reminiscing over old times and sharing many laughs with them. Quiet by nature she slowly became, later in life, the life of the party at family get togethers. She loved visiting and talking Cajun French over a good cup of Community Coffee and spent many weekends playing card games with her sisters and her friends. She loved flowers and enjoyed bird watching, most especially loved cardinals. Later in life when she was semi home bound she enjoyed taking little rides in the car even if it was just driving around town. She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She was thoughtful and kind and faced every challenge in life with quiet strength and reliance on her Lord. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
