On Sunday, October 9, 2022, at around 2 pm, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a vehicle break-in in the 200 block of Riverview Drive in St. Rose. The subject took a pink and nude colored Coach shoulder bag with gold straps. The vehicle was unlocked.
On Monday, October 10, 2022, just after 7 am, the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of surveillance video of a person pulling on vehicle doors in the 100 block of Riverview Drive in St. Rose, LA.
Detectives learned that the video was from Sunday, October 9th at around 2:20 am. A male subject was observed on video walking northbound on Riverview Drive and approximately 6 minutes later he returns walking southbound. The male was observed pulling on the rear door handle of a vehicle but does not gain entry due to the vehicle being locked. The same male subject was observed entering an unlocked vehicle at a nearby residence.
The subject is described as a black male in a light-colored hoodie, dark-colored shorts, white tennis shoes, and a mask.
This is an ongoing investigation.
We urge our citizens to set themselves a reminder to go out and make sure all their vehicles are locked and secured. Please remember to remove valuables, electronics, jewelry, and firearms from your vehicles each night.
