LULING — Sheriff Greg Champagne would like to thank the public for their assistance in identifying the male
accused of a theft that occurred at 1221 Paul Maillard Road in Luling (Dollar General Store). On Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at approximately 7 pm, deputies with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to 1221 Paul Maillard Road in Luling (Dollar General Store) for a report of theft. The caller advised a white male stole items from the store and fled on a motorcycle.

Arriving deputies learned a male subject entered the store and carried around various items he picked up from shelves. An employee observed the male open several packages of merchandise before leaving the store without paying for any items. The employee found the opened packages with the items removed.

Video evidence obtained from the store shows a white male wearing a gray motorcycle helmet, green jacket, black pants, with a short brown beard and white plastic bags covering both of his feet. The male is believed to be 5’8 – 6’0 in height. The male left the store on a white and blue Suzuki motorcycle with no license plate.

Through investigation and with the public’s help, detectives were able to identify the male and obtain an arrest warrant for theft, signed by a 29th Judicial District Court Judge, for Dustin Coster Archibald, a 34-year-old white male with a last known address of 30180 Barnett Road in Denham Springs, Louisiana.

If anyone has any information relating to the whereabouts of Dustin Archibald, they are urged to contact Detective Charles Floyd with the St. Charles Parish Sheriff’s Office at (985) 783-6807, (985) 783-1135, or cfloyd@stcharlessheriff.org.
